Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Critical care comprises the use of world class equipment and technologies including the latest in Interventional Radiology, Ventilators, hemo filtration equipment for renal complications like acute failure, monitoring equipment for heart rate, cardiac rhythm, Blood pressure (arterial and non-invasive), 24x7 availability of Emergency cardiac care.

Cardiac Care Unit (CCU)

The Cardiac Care Unit provides care for patients with acute myocardial infarcation, acute coronary syndrome, arhythmias and people requiring pacemakers. It also cares for those requiring cardiac telemetry, those requiring Intra Aortic Balloon Pump support and post angiography/angioplasty care, as well as medically treated cardiac conditions.

NEONATAL INTENSIVE CARE UNIT

SPES Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a designated Level IV nursery for the Sacramento region. Its special care nursery is a Level II-designated unit for children who are seriously ill but expected to recover more rapidly.

NICU and special care nursery are staffed by neonatal caregivers 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Working with subspecialists in other fields, such as cardiology and pulmonology, our neonatologists provide expert care for infants with a variety of congenital and acquired health conditions, including:

  •  Birth asphyxia
  •  Congenital heart disease
  •  Congenital anomalies (birth defects)
  •  Jaundice
  •  Infectious diseases like pneumonia
  •  Respiratory distress

SPES has a 24hrs casualty department that attends to any emergency. Equipped to cope up with emergency of any kind, the department has the state of the art acute medical care unit to handle emergencies round the clock and presence of surgeons to handle the trauma cases.
